15th Day of Eaiwe in the year 1031 of the Northern Calendar, Early Morning

With the freezing dawn of the next morning, Korm gives his last breath.

Mourning silently, you bury the valiant dwarf together with the other victims of the Maiden near the wall next to the dried fountain.

It's time to leave now announces Rowell, gathering his men around him. Those who still want to travel with us are welcome. Given that you don't know the way out of these swamps, I bet that it is your only choice.

Sven will pick up Korm's Dwarven Slug Thrower and slug pouch and hand them to Draussa, she is probably the only one of us who could use it. "Draussa, can you use this?"

Korm also had a waraxe. "Can anyone use this waraxe?"

"Korm and I also found this in the grave under the inn." Reaching into Korm's belt pouch, I will retrieve the necklace and put it in my backpack.

Turning to look at Path.
"Is Path's broken leg healed? He will not be able to walk if it isn't. Can Kyvaryn or Draussa cast a cure light wounds on him? If not, we need to see if there is a draft animal in the barn and whether we can fix that cart in the corner over there."
Pointing to the cart in the inn yard behind the inn, near where Gila died.

Path just says: "....", then asks if anyone could please, for the love of all the gods, cast a healing spell on his leg.

Jigimy gathers his belongings, grumbling to himself about having to travel with the "merry band of thugs". He glances around to make sure no one was within earshot.

He then helps put out the remains of the fire, as everyone else prepares to depart.

At dawn, you see erdath pulling out a book and reading through it commiting to memory its contents. After about an hour he puts the book away and prepares to leave for the open road.

Sven and Jigimy will perceive Mant standing in a corner of the innyard, his sword lying open in is hands. His face shows something like a dull expression, as he points the sword towards his own stomach... What has he left to live for, after all?

"No! Mant! Don't waste your life! Your death won't solve anything. You can return home or go on with us."

I will rush over and try to stop him.

From Draussa:

"Hmmm....I thought I did a heal spell on the ethereal man earlier when the Tiger died, but I will try again....." I walk over to Path and say the familiar words, luckily I have just enough energy left to pray one more prayer......."Nouastrum Daturustum Treasurastum Pathmeer...." I touch Path's leg with heavy hands.

(Heal light wounds, any luck?)

Jigimy glances up at Mant, while extinguishing the fire, to see the despair in his eyes and sword in hand. But Sven has already made his way to stop the needless suicide attempt. I will head over, and assist if necessary, using calming reassuring words to lift Mant's spirit.

The power of magic flows through Draussa's hands, and she will be relieved to realize that her powers seem to work again as usual...

[5 HP restored for Path...]

When Sven approaches, Mant first looks like if he wanted to swing the blade against the half-elf, but then, trembling, lets the sword fall down.

"I might kill you one day for what you did to my family."

He doesn't talk to Sven, or to anyone in particular, and with the same, dull expression in his eyes, begins to pack his bags.

Sven is distracted from Mant's newest strange behaviour by Rowell, who is burning to move on...

[Assuming that everyone is going with Rowell, this will be your last chance to set things at the inn. Do you still have things to do there or shall we just go on?]

After a big sigh at Mant's words, I will turn to Joseph's wife:

"My heart greaves for you. There is nothing we can do to bring back your husband or daughter. Take this necklace. Perhaps, it will provide enough money to hire men to tend your fields until Basil can take over your farm."

I will hand her the necklace Korm and I found. I will then turn to Rowell:

"Rowell, how far is it to Silverbell? Shouldn't we get some food from the cellar before we leave?"

I will go into the inn, down into the basement and open the back door to get more light. Then go get some apples and meat from the crates. Turning to the small room with the trap door, I will grab a bottle of that fine wine. Lastly, I will take a look in that chest that was in the little room to see what was in it (I don't recall anyone opening it up until now. I could be wrong, of course).

[What are Rotfoot, Kyvaryn, the two remaining woodsmen and Joseph's family doing? Are they coming with us? Or will they follow their own paths?]

Path slowly tries to stretch his leg. With considerable effort, he can move it around a bit. Before pushing himself up, he fastens the bow on his back, puts his backpack over it and girds his sword and the two daggers.
He stands up slowly and rubs his leg with both his hands. After a minute or two, Path can move, bend and twist his leg like before.

".. Thank you, ... miss" A glint of relief and gratitude sparks in his eyes. "Thank you..", he whispers again.

[[ I have no idea how many hp Path has now, Des. I take it you keep track of that? ]]

With Sven under control of the Mant situation, Jigimy sees Path struggling to rise, and helps if needed.

"How ya doin' this morn, Path?......You know, I'm curious......how are you able to turn Gaseous Form at will like that? Aside from magic, I know of only one other way.....well, nevermind that.... I simply must know!!"

Jigimy anxiously looks at Path, hoping for an answer. Willing to help him pack up or whatever, if it expedites a response.

From Draussa:

I will sit and pray to my God in a very contemplative state for as long as I can before we appear to be leaving. I am hoping to restore some of my spritual energy before we get on the road in case I need to pray to Pathmeer to help one of my fellows in the near future.
